With over 23 years of experience shaping Auckland’s built environment, Bobby (Shubhendu) Banerjee is a leading figure in New Zealand’s architectural scene. Bobby's core commitment is to deliver profitable solutions for clients and contribute to meaningful growth within the architectural industry. He specializes in supporting property investors and developers throughout their entire journey, from initial property acquisition and consent processes to the successful completion of construction. His portfolio includes a diverse range of projects, from bespoke lifestyle homes and multi-unit developments to terrace houses, residential alterations and additions, and commercial ventures.
A significant achievement in his career is the establishment of the "Mercury Alliance," a vital network of consultants. This alliance, which began with just a few independent consultants, has expanded to include eleven key members, with plans for further growth. The Alliance's primary goal is to streamline and simplify the complex building consenting process for developers, embodying Bobby's dedication to efficiency and client success.
Bobby has transformed Mercury Architecture into a thriving practice across New Zealand and India, leading a team of 15 with a focus on mentorship, collaboration, and innovation. Known for turning challenges into opportunities, he leads with empathy and conviction, empowering his team to deliver outstanding results. He is a proud professional member of Architectural Designers New Zealand (ADNZ) and serves as a regional executive for the ADNZ Auckland Branch, where he actively supports the growth and evolution of the architectural profession.
Beyond architecture, Bobby is dedicated to community education. As dean at the Hare Krishna Centre and a regular public speaker, he offers free property enhancement seminars, driven by a vision to inspire, mentor, and make a lasting impact.

Santosh, is a highly skilled architect with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Mumbai University and a Construction Management Diploma from Unitec, Auckland. He is passionate about high-end design, community engagement, and sustainability. Santosh has a diverse portfolio of residential and multi-residential projects in New Zealand and India. He has strong relationships with clients, consultants, and colleagues, and holds licenses from the Council of Architecture India. In addition to his role at Mercury Architects India, he is also a Director in Strategic Planning and Management at Mercury Architecture Auckland, New Zealand. He has experience in residential, commercial, and industrial designs, as well as interior designs. In his free time, Santosh enjoys playing badminton and traveling to new destinations for educational speaking opportunities.
KOMAL BHATT
Project Manager, Architecture

Komal is our Senior Architectural and Landscape designer and has a Bachelors' in Architecture from India and a Master's in Landscape Architecture from Auckland.
She is passionate about solution-oriented design and gets the job done for you.
Her keen eye for detail keeps you updated on your projects and smoothly coordinates with consultants and local councils. She also heads the Landscape department in the company and is incredibly talented in landscape design for multi-unit developments. She has been growing with the Company since 2015.
AMIT TARTE
Senior Architect

Amit studied Master of Architecture from CEPT University in 2016. He completed his Bachelor of Architecture from VNIT Nagpur in 2014 with First Class Honours and is also a registered architect with the Council of Architecture India.
Amit comes with more than 3 years of experience & knowledge in producing complex high-quality residential and commercial projects. He enjoys computational 3D modeling and is very competent with 3D Software and presentation work. Amit has a very analytical mind and an eye for details and has been producing very clean, consistently detailed documents for our projects.
In his spare time, Amit enjoys traveling and documenting old Indian Architecture.
